At Lymm Chess Club, we value the camaraderie and competitive spirit that defines us. We want every new member to feel immediately at home, welcomed into a community that shares a love for the game. Our club is a place where friendships are forged over the chessboard and every move tells a story of strategy and growth.
The people behind the moves
Lymm Chess Club thrives thanks to our dedicated members. We have a regular crowd and a growing number of over 100 players who have passed through our doors. Our club boasts a great spirit and very competitive chess. We proudly field teams in the Warrington League's 2nd and 3rd divisions, competing against clubs from Winwick, Skelmersdale, Atherton, and Northwich. With about 20 match games played from September to May, and membership in the South Manchester Summer League, there's always an opportunity to play.
Our journey and achievements since 2023
Since our establishment in 2023, Lymm Chess Club has rapidly grown from a new start-up to a thriving club. We are now firmly on the map, an active and cherished part of the Lymm Festival. Our rapid growth and community engagement are testaments to the dedication and passion of our members.
